About Automation Works Training Facility
Automation Works Training Facility was established to provide education on engineering with the focus on Mechatronics. With the motto ‘Engineer Your Future’, the academy teaches people about the world of automation networking to endless possibilities, remotely controlling machines and processes in the industry.
The current GAP Year courses allow students to explore the world of microcomputers and mechatronics at a regulated pace to achieve understanding of how data is used by all kinds of ‘things’ and transformed into usable knowledge. All our GAP students (since 2016) are currently employed in some or other division of Industry, but mostly in the automation industry.
Automation Works Training Facility continuously develops new courses encompassing people, things, processes, and data to make life fun! We are creating an environment that educates, informs, and inspires. We have a collective passion to run engineering education programs that recognize different student learning needs and interests to meet the urgent and increasing demands of the dynamic engineering industry.
Anyone that is curious about the Internet of Things (IOT) and the world of technology, including discovering mechanics, electricity, electronics, computers, robotics, mechatronics, and related fields of interest. These include school leavers and gap year students. Anyone looking at career change, would like to gear up for the world of technology for a new career, or take up a hobby will benefit from these very interesting and stimulating courses. Micro Computing and automation are increasingly used more in an increasingly wider variety of industries, such as hospitality, fashion, and landscaping to name but a few.
